Pilot Episode, May 18, 2007, Friday, 10 p.m.

The first episode introduces the new host, Ms. Patricia Evangelista, and the student documentary competition's board of critics (Prof. Danny Arao, Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala, and Ed Lingao). Ms. Evangelista explained the contest mechanics and other pertinent details about the contest. The episode also features clips of previously shown documentaries from independent filmmakers like Khavn Dela Cruz's "Rugby Boyz," EJ Mijares' "Mula Third Avenue Hanggang sa Dulo," Keith Deligero's "Sinulog," Elvin Valerio's "Agimat," Kiri Dalena's "Alingawngaw ng mga Punglo," and interviews of student filmmakers previously featured in the first five seasons of the show.


3rd Episode, June 1:

The documentary features Tondo gangsta rappers and how they articulate their existence, sentiments and their interpretation of their environment through their rap songs.

KENDI MAN

Kendi Man is a documentary about the life of Richard Rodriguez. He is a talented candy vendor who was featured in a wish-giving reality television show. His wish for a permanent job was not granted. This documentary follows his everyday life, his struggle to make a living, and his efforts to make sure that his wish will be granted.


4th Episode, June 8:
WHEN FINGERS TALK PINK
De La Salle University – Manila

To be a homosexual in a Catholic-dominated country is a struggle. To be a handicap in a society soaked in vanity is a burden. Imagine someone who is a combination of both. Indeed, life works in mysterious – not to mention, mischievous – ways. In a serendipitous moment, Swollen Tonsils Productions stumbled on a community who acquires a certain power of their own through their uniquely created vivid language, the Gay Sign Language. This benchmarking documentary features the lives of three members of the Deaf Gay Community as they try to prove that language is not only a mere tool of communication, but is also an icon of a strongly-bonded group.

Sa pinakadulong bahagi ng Quezon, sa liblib na sitio ng Brgy. Pulang Lupa ay naninirahan ang mga katutubong Dumagat. Sina Saur at Nimpa ay mga katututbong naranasa ang hagupit ng malaria, ang nakakamatay na sakit na kinatatakutan ng mga Dumagat. Bukod sa sakit na ito ay kinakaharap din bila ang mga probelmang patuloy na nagpapahirap sa pag-unlad ng kanilang buhay.
